In advance of the class:
If you are a complete beginner you are advised to use cotton fabric for ease of handling. If you choose batiks you may wish to launder the fabrics - bring the fabric pressed and ready to cut. Follow the pattern instructions to determine the amount of fabric you require.
The pattern comes all on one sheet - cut out the paper pattern pieces that you need to the largest size. You will learn to alter the pattern to your size at the workshop before you pin and cut the fabric.

Matching thread
Dressmaking scissors
Dressmaking Pins
Tacking thread (a contrasting colour thread will do)
Sewing needle/kit
Sewing machine in good working order with instruction manual, accessories and spare needles
