Sally shows you how to make a quick but effective cushion with this strip piecing technique. The cushion is finished with piping made using Clover fusible piping cord. There is a button up back.
You will make the patchwork front and if time get started on the quilting, you will be shown how to finish the cushion using an invisible hem, buttonholes and piping cord.

A morning spent on design techniques from the book of the same name, shows just how easy it is to create kaleidoscopic or many sectioned designs, even if you are not mathematical or artistic. There are a few sewing tricks in there too in the afternoon, producing a finished machine sewn result that you can be proud of.
The workshop is technique based so that we will not be intending to make an item during the session. However we will have created designs and sewn samples.... in fact gone through everything necessary to enable you to make something worthwhile at a leisurely pace at home afterwards.
