ART DECO LADY REQUIREMENTS LIST

This design can be made into a panel, bag or cushion.
Using print fabric reminiscent to 1920/30 style and a drawn face

½ metre Heat and Bond lite
1 fq for dress
1fq for border and backing
1fq for background
Scraps for hat and hair
Very pale pink/flesh colour for face

Tracing paper
Fine drawing pen (I will have some for you to use)
Wadding if you want to quilt your panel
Sewing cotton to match
Pencil
Scissors, for fabric and paper
Spray starch, if you have it
Rotary cutter and mat
Sewing machine, leads, feet, all accessories
Glasses if you need them
Lunch

REQUIREMENTS LIST FOR BOOK COVERS

Several styles of book covers will be available to do, dependant on size and what scraps you want to use. I have used plain ruled notebooks , ideal as gifts or a special journal, make several for Christmas/Birthday presents.

So bring with you whatever you have of the following however scrappy, a good chance to delve into your boxes of bits. Only small amounts needed.
Books to cover - A4, A5 or smaller - it's up to you.

Ribbon - braid - lace - fancy embroidery thread
Batik
Plain and patterned cotton
Chiffon or old chiffon scarfs, muslin, fancy glittery materials
Little beads or embellishments to finish
Fusible pellon, the size of your books (ie to cover front and back
Felt, the length of your book and about 6" wide
Machine thread for decorative quilting and edging
PVC Plastic sheet clear (available from the shop)
Sewing machine, feet, manual, leads, accessories etc.
Small embroidery scissort, larger scissors
General sewing kit
Ruler
Rotary cutter and small mat
ZentanglesZentangles
Pencils Hb, 2B, B,
Eraser
Sketch book A4
Spare cardboard A4
Drawing Pens if you have them

This could be adjusted to make a cushion
This is an ideal project to use those lovely hand dyed fabrics you may have, or batik or toning fabrics, not a lot is needed but careful consideration of tone and colour choice is needed.

1 Fat Quarter for background
Scraps for Iris Flower
Backing and binding to fit
Heat and Bond Lite
Cotton Batting (quarter metre)
Sewing cotton to match or contrast
Scissors
Rotary mat, cutter and ruler
Pencil
Sewing machine in good working order, lead, pedal accessories and manual.
General sewing kit

You can easily add extra blocks to make your quilt larger.

6 x 12 1/2" squares for background
6 x 9" squares for elephants or 6 Fat Quarters
Sashing - and Border fabric - approx 3/4 Metre
Heat and Bond Lite 1M
6 small buttons or felt circles for eyes.
1M Cotton batting (you will have some left over)
Sewing cotton to match or contrast (you might like to use rayon machine embroidery thread)
Template platic and permenant marker eg Sharpie pen
Scissors
Rotary cutter, mat and ruler
Sewing machine in good working order with lead, pedal, all feet and accessories and sewing machine manual.
General sewing kit
