Requirements for 'black magic' bag or cushion workshop
You can buy black dischargable cotton fabric for £4 per meter.
Or you can bring
Black cotton fabric that can be discharged (try it with discharge paste or bleach)
and extra black, white or hand dyed fabric if you would like to print more.
Piece of wadding 50cm square (or to suit the size of your project)
and lining/backing fabric similar size
Gold/silver metallic and black sewing threads
Sequence, beads, small piece metallic silk organza or any other glittery embellishments
Disposable dust mask
Kitchenroll, apron, gloves, old newspaper or old sheet for printing on.
Thermofax screens can be ordered in advance, so I can bring them with me - with plenty of notice. They come in A4, A5 and A6 size. There is a selection of designs on my website or you can create your own, design should leave 1" or 2 ½ cm space free around the edges (to allow for sticking tape). Line drawings or text work best - avoid areas with lots of black. Email me for more information ine@inekeberlyn.com
Cost for existing designs are: A4 screen is £11
A5 screen is £ 8
A6 screen is £ 6 (+£1 for one off design)
Sewing machine with free machine foot, metallic or topstitch needle,
extension cable etc. plus usual sewing kit including small pointy scissors.
This workshop is also suitable for sewing by hand.
