| Shop Hop Plans at Threads and Patches Every Day there will be special offers and spot prizes plus at least one fun draw - you have to be in the shop to participate! We shall be demonstrating our new Long Arm Quilting Machine every day Weather permitting we shall be serving Cream Teas outside on the lawn every day Demonstrations and Activities Daily Saturday 15th June - Making Bias , Celtic Work, Rouleau loops, Dressmaking Techniques, Monday 17th June - Machine quilting techniques including quilt as you go, free motion, the walking foot and free machine embroidery techniques . Sally says she can teach anyone to Free Motion Quilt - come and put her to the test! Tuesday 18th June - Ruth Cox from Janome will be demonstrating various feet for the sewing machines (many will be discounted, plus have a look at the Embroidery Machines. Lots of ideas on how to get the most from your sewing machine. Wednesday 19th June Sally will be showing loads of ideas for using up scraps, from great rulers, to applique techniques to speed piecing, you will have no excuses for that pile of fabric sitting in a bag! - Come and see what you can make, not just quilts, ideas for great Fete Makes and projects to sell for charity. Thursday 20th June On this day we shall be talking about pre cuts - ie those fantastic packs of cut strips, squares, triangles or hexagons that make our lives so much easier. With accurately cut fabric or papers you can achieve stunning results by hand or by machine. Friday 21st June - Jennie Rayment will be demonstrating various products and techniques - join us for a fun and entertaining day! Saturday 22nd June - Last Day of the Shop Hop will be ' Pot Luck' Demos from all the previous days will be taking place. Plus we shall add in a few more for good measure! |
